AML and KYC

AML (anti-money laundering) is the set of rules that prevents the financial system from being used for money laundering and terrorist financing. KYC (know your customer) is the part of it that requires identifying and verifying clients and their beneficial owners.

Banks, financial institutions, accountants and other obliged entities must apply AML/KYC procedures; licensed financial companies must also appoint an AML officer.
