VAT (PVM)

VAT (PVM) is value added tax, a tax on goods and services. The standard VAT rate in Lithuania is 21%; reduced rates apply to certain goods and services.

A company must register as a VAT payer when its income from supplies in Lithuania over the last 12 months exceeds €45,000, and in some other cases, for example when acquiring goods from other EU countries above the set threshold. Voluntary registration is also possible.
